Don, Dave & Ray:

Our sincerest sympathy to your family. Your mom was a wonderful lady. I still recall buying hay from her in 1982 and she came into the barn with me to show me where it was. May your families continue to stay close.

Please accept our sincere sympathy over the loss of your dear mother! We only have wonderful memories of a very lovely lady. We can still picture her at the senior citizen proms, especially the one where she was crowned queen! We can picture her dancing in heaven with a sparkling tiara on her head. A true loss for the entire Geci Family. Mike, Pete and I have so many great memories of Aunt Yolanda and our time spent on the farm. We can still smell the wonderful aroma of the fresh baked bread in the window and homemade apple pies. I know there is a big “Geci Reunion” going on in heaven and she is probably baking and trying to feed everyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I feel privileged to have known Mrs. Geci for the last year and a half and to have shared a pro-life position with her. She was full of life, enthusiastic, principled, spiritual, and fun to be around. She even liked my little dog, JoJo, and treated him like a valued guest. I don’t think it was a coincidence that God called her home on December 8, Feast of the Immaculate Conception!

Jody Vollmer December 12, 2014 at 9:03 am

To all the Geci children, grandchildren and families, “Gramma Geci” was a prominent figure in my childhood. She was one of the nicest, kindest people I’ve ever met and loved her family so much. I hope you all continue the Sunday dinners at the farm . . . it’s so nice to see such a large gathering of family at times other than holidays. Sending prayers to all of you for peace and comfort during the loss of Vi.

What more can be said about your wonderful mother and all of her children and family. What a gracious woman, although deepest sympathy and many prayers for all remain and will continue, Viola chose a most fitting Feast to join the Lord in her Eternal resting place. I am so sorry to hear of this unexpected passing. The love and the kindness shown through all she did, to all she knew, and mostly through each and every child who called her mom, cannot ever be replaced. Each time I say my rosary, I will forever know she is leading me. Warmly remembered.

My sincerest sympathy to all of the Geci family on the loss of your mother. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Joan Donovan Mosier December 15, 2014 at 9:37 am

My condolences to Mrs. G’s family. I used to come to church early, and sit next to Mrs. G in the “handicap” front pew. Then we would proceed reciting the rosary, me doing responses. She remembered all her grandchildren’s names.. Always upbeat and loved to beat you at rabbit at the Senior Center. A zest for life… Makes me smile when I think of her.

Gwenn Catalone December 16, 2014 at 9:13 pm

Mrs. Geci was a good friend of my grandmother, Edith Lavella. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Nancy Grotzinger Troyan December 18, 2014 at 3:34 pm

Florence,
My sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your Mother. There has never been a time when I have come home and passed the farm that I have not thought of you and asked myself “I wonder how your Mom is today?” No matter how much we miss them we know in our hearts they are safe and secure now in the Loving Arms of Jesus. May He bless all of you now just as He blessed her. Thinking of you often and saying a little prayer for you.
Love To You Always,
Nancy Grotzinger
