Carol L. Hahn

Carol HahnCarol L. Hahn, 96, of 185 Center Street, Elk Towers, St. Marys and formerly of Hollywood, PA, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Penn Highlands Elk after a brief illness.

She was born December 25, 1917 in Bradford, PA, daughter of the late George and Bertha (Paul) Courtright. She had been a resident of St. Marys the past seven years and attended Bradford Area Schools.  She was a former employee of Zippo in Bradford, Sylvania in Emporium, and Stackpole Carbon in St. Marys.

On February 12, 1948 in Olean, NY, she married Raymond M. Hahn, who preceded her in death in 1983.

She is survived by a daughter, Sara “Sally” Piper of Knoxville, TN; two sons, Charles (Mary) Hahn of Kersey and Raymond “Jim” (Coleen) Hahn of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren: Amy (Kevin) Mahar of Doylestown, PA, Melissa (Scott Meyer) Luchini of St. Marys, Shala (Mike) Ott of Woodbridge, VA, Adam (Annie) Hahn of Pittsburgh, Christopher James Piper of Knoxville, TN, and Cameron (Jennifer) Piper of Darien, GA; eight great grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; a sister, Cora “Dot” (Jack) Dailey of Bradford; three brothers, Hilton “Din” Courtright of Pittsburgh, Gerald “Jerry” (Irma) Courtright of Roosevelt, UT, and Richard “Dick” (Sandy) Courtright of DuBois; and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Katrina Kloss, Phylis Swatsler, and Maise Ammons; and a brother, George E. Courtright.

Funeral Services will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Brad Brunner, Pastor of the Faith Baptist Church in St. Marys, officiating. Burial will follow in the Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
