Margaret M. Ticossi

Margaret TicossiMargaret M. Ticossi, 93, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Main Street, Kersey, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014, at Elk Haven.

She was born May 23, 1921 in Coal Hollow, daughter of the late Angelo and Clementine Porta Ticossi. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School.  She was a retired employee of Speer Carbon.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and their families.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Inez Oldani, Virginia Cavalline, and Irene Facetti; four brothers, Lympia “Tye” Ticossi, Joseph Ticossi, Art Ticossi, and Tilio Ticossi; and by one niece, Mary Margaret Facetti. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Margaret was a member of the St. Boniface Church, the Rosary Society, and the Fox Twp. Senior Center.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral and committal services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846, or to the Elk Haven Nursing Home Activity Fund, 785 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, PA  15857.

My deepest sympathy to Margaret’s family, especially her nieces who looked out for her. I always enjoyed chatting with her when our paths crossed, always had a smile, and heard that she had a wonderful singing voice. She was in a big high school musical in the early forties, wish I could remember what her number was (heard about it)..

I am the wife of her nephew, Arthur A. Ticossi. I have been trying to find family members and I have had a lot of trouble. My heart goes out to her family. If anyone knows of our family members please email. Sincerely, Joanne Ticossi
