I have a lot of great memories with uncle Eric and despite his downfalls he was a good man with a big heart. I could talk to him about anything and will miss our daily conversations about life. He loved Sheila and Hailey very much and talked about them all of the time. R.I.P Jerkey Boy and I will miss your flowing mullet and I’m keeping your Whitesnake cd.

Eric was with our group for a short time and was a current employee when he passed away.

Some of us here, including myself shared great moments with Eric off-line from working and those conversations were very heartfelt. He was a good person, a brilliant guy with a great smile and a heart for God.

I will remember Eric by those conversations and I pray that all family and friends have peace and comfort during this time.

In his grip,
Jesse Ramirez

To the family of Eric Long,

I want to start off by apologizing for my belated condolence, I was away on vacation when I heard the news of Eric’s death. I was very saddened to hear of Eric’s passing. My mother had been maintaining contact with Eric while he was in prison. I limited my direct contact with Eric due to the fact that I work for the PA Department of Corrections and interactions between staff and inmates requires special permission. My mother had been filling me in on Eric’s activities while incarcerated. I heard he had been released (or was being released soon) and I was looking forward to hearing more about him.

In the event you don’t remember me, I was very good friends with Eric, he and I went to school together. I had been to your home on Lynch road on many occasions. We went to a few parties together and hunted together on a few occasions. Pretty much any trouble I got into as a teenager was when I was with Eric (ha!). Officer Kellogg from the St. Marys PD pulled us over once, we chased deer through a field in a Chevy Chevette and I have a large scar on my left leg from when Eric ran over my leg with his 185-S (3 wheeler)!

I was pleasantly shocked when I heard of Eric’s acceptance of Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, and his fervor to tell others about Christ. Although Eric’s earthly road was filled with “potholes”, he now is walking on the streets of gold where there are no potholes. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to be friends with Eric and am looking forward to seeing him again when I leave this Earth.

Hi daddy,
It’ll be 2 years you’ve been gone in less than 2 days from now. I can’t even verbalize the feelings I have. I just generally really miss you. I know you weren’t always there and didn’t get the opportunity to be an all around at home father, but you were all I could ever ask for. I’m really sorry that I let the anger overtake me the last four months you where here. I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you for those four months. I know you died when I was young and it hurts, but I wouldn’t change it. I cherish every memory. You were the sun and moon to me, I remember I could always look up to you. I’ve been going camping a lot this summer and thinking of you. In two weeks I’ll be 16, your little girl isn’t so little anymore. It is awfully sad and this is the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced, but I know you aren’t suffering anymore. I know you were a good person who had their fair share of hardships and problems. I really hope you didn’t pass away thinking I didn’t love you because I love you so much dad. Rest in peace forever and always. I will always be your little kitty, and I will make your memory carry on with me.
Your baby girl, Hailey <3

Happy birthday Daddy. I am unexplainably thankful for the gift of your life, that led to mine. And from my life, it led to your granddaughter’s life, Bella Jay Long. I miss you with all of my heart.
Your beautiful little kitty

Another birthday, another day to celebrate the precious gift of your life. I would like to share a quote with you that gives me peace. “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.” You live on in my heart and in my children. Guess what daddy, I have another daughter, her name is Apricity Bliss and today she is 2 weeks old. Her hair looks much likes yours. Bella Jay will be 2 years old this March 9th. I wish you could be here to see them. Also I just officially graduated high school! A year late, but I did it despite all of life’s detours and road blocks. My life has been much different and more difficult than most 18 year old girls, but I like to think that you would be proud of me. I miss you more than I can ever put into words. Rest in peace daddy, I’ll always be your little girl.

Leave A Condolence
