Jerald Allshouse

Jerald W. Allshouse, 40, of Washington, PA and a former resident of Dagus Mines, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 3, 2013 at his residence.

He was born June 28, 1973 in Jamestown, N.Y., son of William F. and Dixie Johnson Allshouse of Dagus Mines.  He was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1991, and had resided in Washington since 2003.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Chelsea Allshouse of DuBois and Zoey Allshouse of Washington; a son, Isaac Allshouse of DuBois; two sisters, Kimberly Allshouse of Mechanicsville, MD and Mildred Frost of Jamestown, N.Y.; a half sister, Nicole Williams of Chicago, Ill.; a half brother, Edward Williams of Chicago, Ill.; his foster brother, Michael Woodring of Washington, D.C.; and his maternal grandmother, Lila Jean Johnson of Dagus Mines.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Michelle Williams; and by a brother, Jason P. Allshouse.

Mr. Allshouse was an active member of the Family Worship Center in Pittsburgh, enjoyed computers, and took corresponding courses at the Art Institute.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held in the First Presbyterian Church in Ridgway on Monday, October 7, at 12:30 PM with the Rev. Mark Cantaral, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in the Earlyville Cemetery in Kersey.

Jerry had a hard life and struggled with many demons. He was a decent human being, who believed he had finally found happiness. However, it was not to be………
We will miss his friendliness, artistic talents and helping nature among other positive traits and talents.

Please accept my deepest condolences. Jerry was a dear friend. He helped me with my computer and liked jigsaw puzzles in which we completed together. He will be dearly missed.
