Kirk A. Bauer

Kirk A. Bauer, 42, of 29 North St. Marys Street, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 30, 2013, at the Elk Regional Health Center.

He was born March 28, 1971 in St. Marys, son of Mark A. Bauer of St. Marys and Ann Werner Ecklund of St. Marys.  He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1990.  He was employed by GKN in Fairview.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Andrea Brady and her husband Jeremy of Winston-Salem, NC; a brother, Scott A. Bauer of St. Marys; four step-sisters, Christine Prechtl and her husband Mark of Ridgway, Susan Parson and her husband Jay of Ridgway, Sharon Hamilton and her husband Brian of Ridgway, Amy Piccirillo and her husband Tony of Ridgway; and three step-brothers, Greg Ecklund and his wife Aloha of Pittsburgh, Mark Ecklund and his wife Pam of Kersey, Dan Sorg and his wife Mary of Kersey.  He was also survived by aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Max and Bernice Bauer; his maternal grandparents, Mildred and Ernest Werner; and by his step-sister, Lynn Ecklund.

Kirk was a member of the American Legion, the St. Marys Eagles, and the PFL.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Community Nurses, Inc., 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA  15857.
