David L. “Keppy” Kephart

David L. “Keppy” Kephart, 68, of 139 Lynch Road, St. Marys, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

He was born October 7, 1943 in Clearfield, son of the late Robert D. and Mary Vena Landsberry Kephart.  He was a graduate of DuBois Area High School, Class of 1962.  He was also a graduate of the Hiram-Walker Vocational School in Johnstown for electronics.  He had been a resident of St. Marys since 1965.  He was a former employee of the former Hoy’s Radio Service in St. Marys and then was the owner of the Hoy’s Appliance Repair.

On September 23, 1995 in St. Marys, he married Patricia A. Breindel, who survives.  He is also survived by three sisters, Betsy L. Kruckenberg of Clearfield, Katherine L. (Glaydon) Lucore of Penfield and Mary T. “Pum” (Glenn) Lucore of Penfield; and three brothers, James A. Kephart of DuBois, Thomas P. (Marianne) Kephart of Florida and Daniel L. (Charlene) Kephart of Penfield.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Robert J. Kephart, Anson W. Kephart, John C. Kephart, William F. Kephart,  Donald K. Kephart and one brother in infancy.

Mr. Kephart was a member of the St. Marys Lions Club and enjoyed camping and playing cards.

There will be no visitation.

A Mass and committal service will be held in the Sacred Heart Church at a later date.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Community Nurses Inc., Adult Day Services, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA  15857 or to the St. Joseph Monastery, 303 Church Street, St. Marys, PA  15857.

I extend to you my sympathy on the loss of your husband. I know how hard it is to lose yor mate, but God will help you through this if you keep Him near you .
