Thomas G. Schreiber

Thomas G. Schreiber, 69, of 1127 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, passed away Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Christ the King Manor in DuBois as a result of an automobile accident that occurred on November 14, 2011.

He was born August 31, 1942 in St. Marys, son of the late Ambrose and Bertha Brem Schreiber.  He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1960.  He was a retired employee of Quality Components, retiring in 2001 after 41 years of service.

On July 18, 1970 in the St. Boniface Church in Kersey, he married Connie M. Lorenzini, who survives.  He is also survived by a sister, Mary Jo Burfield of St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Ellen Schreiber of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Greenthaner and, in infancy, Helen Schreiber; and by two brothers, Robert Schreiber and Walter Schreiber.

Mr. Schreiber was a member of the St. Mary’s Church, had served in the Army Reserves, loved the outdoors, hunting, gardening, enjoyed playing cards, and loved life and his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson OSB as celebrant.  Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Memorials if desired may be made to the St. Mary’s Church, 144 Church Street, St. Marys, PA  15857.
