Sara Wolfe Facchine

Sara Wolfe Facchine, 85, of 1762 Bucktail Road, St. Marys, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018, at the Elk Haven Nursing Home, after a brief illness.

She was born September 25, 1933, in Kersey, daughter of the late George and Caroline Stauffer Woelfel. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1952.  Sara was a former employee of Stackpole Carbon Company and she retired from Windfall Products.

Sara is survived by three daughters, Mary Jo Wheeler and her husband Charles of St. Marys, Barbara Ginther and her husband Steven of St. Marys, and Kathryn Krug of Harrison City, PA; a son, Daniel Wolfe and his wife Lou Ann of Emporium; seven grandchildren, Angela (Daniel) Breitkreutz, Nicholas Krug, Thomas (Courtney) Krug, Jr., Rebecca (Robert) Burns, Brenda (Matthew) Conner, Cristin (Michael) Lilley, and Angela Danner; and by 12 great grandchildren, Madison Breitkreutz, Sydney Breitkreutz, Grace Breitkreutz, Lydia Conner, Louie Conner, Hayden Lilley, Addison Lilley, Hunter Zebley, Treveyn Seeley, Jack Krug, Charlie Krug, and Sam Krug.

Sara was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Wolfe, Jr., in 1972. In February 1976, she married Nerino R. Facchine, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2013.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Schneider; and by a brother, Wray Woelfel.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

Sara was a member of the Queen of the World Church. She enjoyed going to the Casino and cooking and baking for her family.

A Memorial Mass will be held in the Queen of the World Church on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Jeff Noble, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held at the Queen of the World Church on Saturday morning, from 11:00 AM until the time of Mass.
