Barbara W. Gradl

Barbara W. Gradl, 83, of 460 Maple Street, St. Marys, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Highland View Health Care in Brockway, after a lengthy illness.

She was born January 2, 1935, in St. Marys, daughter of the late George and Marcella Hanes Wagner. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1953.  Barbara was a former employee of the St. Marys School District and the St. Marys Tax Office.

On July 2, 1960, in the Queen of the World Church, Barbara married Raymond H. Gradl, who preceded her in death on August 7, 2011.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Hoffman and Lorrie Levenduski and her husband Kenneth, both of St. Marys; four granddaughters, Jessica Hoffman of St. Marys, Jennifer Huegel and her husband Joe of Erie, Megan Levenduski of St. Marys, and Leanne Levenduski of Cleveland, OH; four sisters, Lucille Samick of St. Marys, Lorraine McMackin of St. Marys, Betty DiCello of Kersey, and Nancy Kronenwetter of Natrona Heights; a brother, George R. Wagner and his wife Ann of St. Marys; and by a sister-in-law, Betty Wagner of St. Marys.

In addition to her husband and parents, Barbara was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jane Kelly and Shirley Neidwecki; and by two brothers, William Wagner and Charles “Bud” Wagner.

Barbara was a member of the Queen of the World Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, and sitting on her back porch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Jeff Noble, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

I am so sorry to read about your mother. I remember her helping out in the library, she was such a nice lady!! Someone so special can never be forgotten.
