Mary E. Mosier

Mary MosierMary E. Mosier, 81, a resident of Elk Haven and formerly of Main Street, Kersey, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after an illness of the past year. She was born October 31, 1934, in Saint Marys, daughter of the late Alvan and Emma Koch Mosier. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, class of 1952; and Saint Vincent’s School of Nursing in Erie in 1955. She was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at the former Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital, the Community Nurses, and had worked in Santa Barbara, California, for a few years. She retired from the Elk Haven Nursing Home.

She is survived by a brother, George A. Mosier, and his wife, Norma, of Kersey; four nieces and nephews, Kathy Dowie and her husband, Jamie; Louis Mosier and his wife, Shanda; Barb Blumish and her husband, Mike; and Dan E. Mosier.

Mary was a member of St. Boniface Church, the Fox Township Senior Center, and enjoyed traveling as she traveled to 41 countries.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Ross Miceli, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM.

To the family of Mary Mosier,
I worked with Mary for many years. Enjoyed her quiet spirit. Our profession lost a great supported. I’m sure she will be missed in family circles also. Offer sympathy to all who mourn her loss.
