Wayne E. Caylor

Wayne CaylorWayne E. Caylor, 87, of 519 Toby Road, Kersey, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born June 7, 1928 in Creekside, son of the late Bernard and Lillian Clark Caylor.  He attended Indiana schools and had resided in the Kersey area since 1965.  He was a retired owner of Caylor Inc., an auger coal company.

On November 2, 1945 in Kittanning, he married Eleanor I. Stewart, who survives.  He is also survived by four daughters, Katherine Swanson (Robert) of Kersey, Sharon Gurosik (John) of Kersey, Patricia Penn (Daniel) of Kersey, and Denise Eastman (Alan) of Homer City; two sons, Curtis B. Caylor of Albuquerque, NM and Douglas W. Caylor (Lisa) of Elizabethtown; 12 grandchildren, Timothy Swanson, Kristine Swanson, Beth Trunzo, Mark Swanson, John David Gurosik, Christopher Gurosik, Matthew Penn, Lauren Radtka, Alexander Caylor, Sophia Eastmen, Diana Eastmen, and David Eastmen; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Maul of Alaska and Judy Caylor of California; and a brother, Robert Caylor of Homer City.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael W. Caylor; a sister, Joyce Caylor; and by two brothers, James Caylor and in infancy William Caylor.

Wayne was a member of the Toby Methodist Church, a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War, and was an avid fisherman and hunter where he enjoyed moose hunting in Canada.

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held at a place and time to be announced.  Burial will be in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
