Faye Y. Caskey

Faye CaskeyFaye Y. Caskey, 79, of 1183 Brusselles Street, passed away Friday, September 18, 2015, at Penn Highlands Elk after a lengthy illness.

She was born June 25, 1936, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Issac and Lillian Gardner Carnahan. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School. She was a former employee of the Elk Haven Nursing Home.

On December 23, 1986, in Ridgway, she married William F. Caskey, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Patricia McQuone of Warriors Mark, PA and Cynthia Ann Lewis of North Carolina; three sons, Charles McQuone of Erie, Stephen McQuone of Bradford, and William McQuone of Virginia; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Walker of Erie and Lottie Yopek of Erie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Marie McQuone in infancy; and six brothers, Charles, Stewart, Lawrence, Ronald, and George Carnahan and by a brother in stillbirth, Issac Carnahan.

Faye enjoyed baking, cooking, and reading. Her name in Spanish means “faith” and she had great faith and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services to be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1159 Shelvey Summit Road, Ridgway, PA, on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Philip Walton officiating. Burial will be in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

To Faye’s family,
You have my deepest sympathies. I am an ER nurse and cared for her many times. She was always a joy to see. She was so kind, well spoken and grateful for any little thing. I’ll miss her.
