Anna C. Fodge

Anna FodgeAnna C. Fodge, 82, of 335 Atlantic Street, St. Marys, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at Penn Highlands DuBois after a lengthy illness.

She was born May 15, 1932 in Kersey, daughter of the late John and Grace Brandmiller Lance.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1950.  She was a retired employee of Keystone Powdered Metal.

On November 22, 1978, she married James A. Fodge, who preceded her in death on October 18, 2004.

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Flannigan of St. Marys; a son, Lawrence R. Flannigan and his wife Michelle of San Antonio, TX; a step-son, David Fodge of Coraville, Iowa; three grandchildren, Lance Flannigan, Luke Flannigan, and Katelyn Flannigan; two step-grandchildren, Matthew Fodge and Maggie Opiol; one sister, Clara Palmer and her husband Ed of Dagus Mines; and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Patrick Flannigan in 2013; and a sister, Marie Sheehan.

Mrs. Fodge was a member of the Sacred Heart Church.  She volunteered many years at the Christian Food Bank, and was a volunteer at the Hospital Gift Shop, the Sacred Heart Social Committee, and the Funeral Outreach Committee.  She was a past member of the Hospital Auxiliary.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, January 12, 2015, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA  15857, or to the Christian Food Bank, PO Box 1033, St. Marys, PA  15857.

Pam, Sorry I will be unable to attend Ann’s Mass but I have no way to get to church. Wish I had known she was in DuBois. I’ve been down there every day for the last three weeks for radiation. If Larry got home, please give him my best too. Love & prayers, Micki
