Bernice Airgood Meyer

Bernice Airgood Meyer, 77, of 278 Mulligan Road, St. Marys, passed away at her home surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness on Tuesday, October 2, 2012.

She was born March 6, 1935 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Blaine and Loretta Lawton Airgood.  She was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1953, and was a retired employee of Powdered Metal Products, retiring in 1997 after 25 years of service.

On January 21, 1956, she married Dennis A. Meyer, who survives.  She is also survived by a daughter, Terri (Mike) Supon of St. Marys; two sons, John (Emma) Meyer of London, Ontario and Dan (Anne) Meyer of St. Marys; six grandchildren, Mathew Meyer, Rachel Meyer Kell, Rob Meyer, Stephanie Supon, Tricia Supon and Jacob Meyer; and two great granddaughters, Ana and Evalee Meyer.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Airgood; and two brothers, Blaine and Arthur Airgood.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Meyer was a member of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church, having served many years as a Deacon, as well as a Sunday School and Bible study teacher.

Funeral services will be held at the Shiloh Presbyterian Church on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Scott Wiest officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, October 3, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Abiding Memorial Fund of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 217 Washington Street, St. Marys, PA  15857 or to the Community Nurses Inc., Hospice, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA  15857.
